Engineering
Design Engineering – C-CAT has the full capability to take concept
designs and convert them into production and manufacturable hardware.
Tools used to support this are:
Process flow design integration – C-CAT works with all of its customers to take ICD-envelope 3D data and convert them to reality and producible hardware. C-CAT has an experienced engineering team that can model and develop sub-component architecture for all carbon-carbon hardware. This includes developing supporting 3D data and supporting 2D drawings. Using these concepts enables C-CAT to take a concept from start through actual hardware integration and maintain the supporting data for certification and further production.
Full Service Analysis & Design: C-CAT has a strong background in complete space vehicle component design and analysis.
Accurate Tooling from 3D CAD: C-CAT can accept CAD surfaces of many different formats (IGES being the most popular) from customers to use in part definition. This data is used to create SolidWorks surfaces, which are then used to generate tool-path information that is fed to the NC machine. Using these techniques, very accurate tools can be built.
